The Passion
I was approached by Pilbara based Occupational Therapist Hayley Rigby with the concept for The Caperbush Project; a support group for women who have experienced domestic violence. Using occupational based activities, the program aims to provide women with practical skills, services and support. Through acts of physical making, participants would produce items for hampers to be distributed amongst the community. Hayley required a visual identity for the project to be included in an application to receive government funding to launch the program.
Inspired by the resilience of the caperbush, a native Pilbara plant with beautiful flowers, the visual identity for the project needed to embody connection, growth, gentleness & warmth. The resulting circular concept involved custom illustration and typography with organic shapes that emulated the support that the program would provide for participants.
The logo that was to be included in the funding proposal was also intended to be applied across business cards and tags for the hampers.
